A mature agency with over two decades of experience, four locations in two countries, and a list of prestigious, mission-driven clients, Forum One is no newcomer to the software scene. But when the time came to flesh out their quality assurance practices and staffing, Forum One partnered with us; first to develop and provide training for their project management and technical teams, and later to provide expert QA staffing. To date, we have staffed quality assurance on hundreds of different projects for Forum One, ranging from small, nimble sites to large, multi-year web builds.

The award-winning MetaPhase Consulting has a proven history of providing expert technological solutions to government agencies. For their multi-year project rebuilding and expanding the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) website, MetaPhase brought in MMC to ensure the new site and features they developed would meet an exceptional quality bar in terms of functionality, responsiveness, and accessibility. We’ve become part of the core FAS website team, providing QA feedback not just after development, but before it; and helping make sure we think through problems from every angle.

DRINKWORKS

June 2020 - December 2021

An ambitious venture backed by Anheuser-Busch and Keurig Dr Pepper, Drinkworks needed a partner who could adapt to rapidly evolving circumstances while still bringing a long term, quality-oriented mindset. We staffed a technically strong QA team to support a rapid re-platforming effort for their flagship website, and collaborated with their development and leadership teams to adapt our approaches to their timelines and priorities. This enabled a successful release and record transaction numbers during the vital holiday sales period. We continued to partner with the Drinkworks team until the company shuttered at the end of 2021, navigating complex quality assurance needs at the intersection of alcoholic beverage sales and e-commerce.

I've worked in web technology since 2005, at organizations ranging in scale from Fortune 500 to small NGO. Through those years, I became increasingly interested in a more flexible approach to my own career. Meanwhile, I watched growing companies struggling with certain disciplines - especially QA - finding that options like off-shoring and crowdsourcing didn’t quite meet their needs. I wondered about a different approach; one that focused on building strong relationships while still optimizing for organizational scalability and flexibility.

When I began freelancing in late 2016, I discovered that this was just what my clients wanted. When their needs began to grow, I realized I had the opportunity to build a business that could offer this flexibility - both for staff and clients - to mutual benefit.
